Recycling schemes in blocks of flats (2006)
When household waste recycling schemes expanded in the 1990s and in the early 2000's, the challenge of providing convenient recycling services for flats dwellers especially on socially owned estates was not always understood by service providers. SNU with Waste Watch was commissioned by DEFRA in 2006 to identify good practice in the provision of recycling schemes for flats.

The experience of being rehoused (2008)
Between January 2006 and July 2007 over 400 residents at Clays Lane Estate near Stratford in the London Borough of Newham were rehoused to allow the demolition of the estate as part of redevelopment for the London 2012 Olympic Games. SNU surveyed nearly half of the residents about their rehousing experience.
